A Letter From Our CEO

I started exaqueo to fill a niche in the market—help clients building honest, authentic employer brands and powerful talent attraction and retention programs based on how employees and candidates really think, feel and act. Since the end of 2011, we’ve built a bespoke brand catering to clients all over the world.

But I also started exaqueo to build a better work experience for myself and my colleagues.

I’m wildly passionate about employer brand, talent and culture. But I also care deeply about how life and work intersect. I’ve written about issues that really matter to me—work life balance, family-friendly benefits and the future for working women. So at the inception of this firm, I wondered—is it possible to build a real, virtual company with a flexible, respectful work experience and still serve the needs of our clients effectively?

The answer has been a resounding yes.

We save our clients money by not having huge brick and mortar costs, and our flexible team, based all over the world, can address clients’ needs in many time zones. Further, our team members have have both impactful careers and the flexibility to live a balanced life, spending quality time with friends and family outside of work. When we’re working, we’re deeply committed and focused. And when we’re not working, we’re not. I think our work is better because we can take a breath, replenish and then come back the next day to do great work again.

We endeavor to practice what we preach.

With that in mind, my own family has made a decision to move from Washington, DC to Charleston, SC.  That means exaqueo HQ will relocate too. As of Monday, January 4, 2016, we’ll officially be based in the country’s "friendliest city in America” (according to Conde Nast) I can’t think of a more appropriate backdrop to continue to grow a company where respect and kindness hallmark the way we treat our clients and treat each other. But it won’t change a thing in our service or commitment to our clients.

It is, and always will be, an absolute privilege serve our clients.

To everyone who has been so supportive and open to our revolutionary process of the work we do and our company, thank you for being a part of our journey. We know it’s the combination of the commitment to the work we do and our philosophy behind our work that drives client satisfaction. And we're grateful to those who trust in us.

Our new address follows below--please let me know if you'll be in Charleston. I'd love to welcome you myself.
