It’s an exciting time here at exaqueo! The end of summer and beginning of fall always brings an increase in client engagements, new proposals, and work-related travel. With our virtual offices buzzing, it’s a great time to announce the newest member of our team. We’re thrilled to welcome Emily Charczuk as an employer brand strategist to exaqueo!
One of the ways in which we’re different than other employer brand firms is that each member of our team has worked in-house. We’ve literally walked in our clients’ shoes! Our strategists are all former practitioners with deep expertise in human resources, talent acquisition, employer brand, and/or consumer brand marketing. Emily is no exception. Most recently, she served as the employer brand project director for Kempinski, a luxury hotelier headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland and an exaqueo client.
How many firms can say their clients are so pleased with their work they want to come and work for them?!
To exaqueo and our clients, Emily brings a deep understanding of the hospitality industry, experience in recruitment and talent development, and a passion for employer branding. With a degree in English from York University and a certificate in Human Resources Management from Carleton University, Emily has has nearly 10 years of experience in in-house recruitment, training, HR technology, talent development and employer branding.
She has applied her HR expertise to her work with companies like FRHI Hotels & Resorts, where she supported the implementation of applicant tracking and performance management systems, the redesign of a global talent development program, and oversaw campus recruitment. Emily has also worked to improve recruitment and training for a national retailer and boutique fitness chain.
In addition to her employer brand skill set, we also admire and appreciate Emily’s international experience. She loves to explore new places and try new things. While her homebase is Toronto, Canada, she has lived in Europe, is bilingual (English and Polish), and is very well-traveled. During her time at Kempinski, her employer brand and recruitment responsibilities took her to many places, including: the Bavarian Alps; Munich, Germany; Lausanne, Switzerland, Beijing, China, and the United Arab Emirates.
We often remind our clients that employer brand is a journey. It starts with understanding employees, but there’s really no end point. It’s a continuous path dotted with creative executions, candidate experiences, employee communications, refinement, and measurement. When it comes to enjoying the journey, it’s important to be surrounded by talented people whom you want to work with -- and we’ve found that in Emily.
