As a recruiting and branding thought leader, you will lead the evolution of the talent acquisition function at The Washington Post. Successful hiring and candidate experience are critical to organizational success and you will be empowered to make the function better, elevate our employer brand, and increase brand engagement. You will join an HR leadership team who sets strategic direction, has the confidence to take well-defined risks, and sets high expectations for team success.

• Lead a high performing recruiting & branding team that can scale to the dynamic demands of a growing media & tech company
• Oversee our employer branding, partnership events, talent sourcing, and candidate experience functions in alignment with The Post’s core message
• Develop and drive the execution of a diversity & inclusion plan that results in a broad and diverse pipeline of prospective talent
• Partner in the development of a long-term talent strategy and execution plan for securing high quality talent
• Empower the team to act as strategic business partners to members of the organization
• Optimize global recruiting operations to best support current and future hiring efforts, as well as effective management and use of resources and budget
• Advance The Washington Post’s talent brand internally and externally
• Establish and maintain talent market expertise including comprehensive view of industry trends and competitors; provide expertise in market insights,
       talent landscape, telling The Post story, and an understanding of talent needs
• Define and track consistent data-driven hiring metrics and goals
• Interface and partner with clients to drive continuous improvement in quality and speed
• Develop and coach hiring managers on best practices for interviewing and hiring, when needed
• Lead Executive level searches, as needed

• Significant experience setting progressive strategic direction of the talent acquisition function that resulted in increased efficiency and quality
• Strong negotiation skills & proven track record of influencing at all levels of the organization
• Exceptional and effective partner and collaborator across broad audiences of internal and external partners, stakeholders, and customers
• Ability to execute effectively while balancing growth objectives and resource constraints, professional maturity, and discretion
• Results-oriented focus with a passion for coaching and driving team toward meeting and exceeding targets
• Confident in providing credible counsel to senior leadership and cross-functional teams
• Excels in a metrics-driven, entrepreneurial and challenging environment
• Solid business and financial acumen, systems thinking and critical problem solving at scale
• Commitment to hiring for diverse and inclusive workplace
• Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree a plus
