Get to Know Nina

While helping a client build their university relations strategy, another leader in the organization asked me to assist his team with launching employee resource groups. This activity launched my focus onDiversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and has been my passion and primary focus for my company since 2010.

I strive to be a strategic business partner within organizations, seeking to influence change, inspire inclusiveness and engage allies at all levels. My expertise is in understanding how to implement initiatives in challenging environments from STEM to manufacturing to lower-wage workforce and front line operations. I believe that data analytics should be deeply embedded in strategy development, creating insights that formulate the direction and focal areas. What I love bout DEI is that it is an ever-evolving field. Today it’s differences, inclusion and equity with a renewed energy around social justice. Tomorrow it may be greater acceptance of new identities. There is no end to this journey - we will always be on it, growing and learning along the way.

Those who know me well describe me as persuasive, creative and collaborative with the ability to create solutions customized to the uniqueness of each work environment and workplace challenge.

I love the reciprocal return on investment from engagement in the non-profit community and have proudly served on numerous boards and advisory groups including the Board of Trustees for The ThirdPath Institute, the Board of Trustees for Corporate Voices for Working Families, the BusinessAdvisory Board for Bright Horizons Family Solutions, Ceridian’s CustomerAdvisory Board, The Employer Learning Circle for Boston College’s Center onAging and Work, The Boston College Work/Family Roundtable and also served as the Co-Chair of the Conference Board’s Work-Life Leadership Council.

Outside of work, I spend time with my spouse and college-aged children and enjoy hiking and biking our beautiful parks. I volunteer weekly with the local food bank and regularly foster dogs and puppies.

My First Paycheck

My very first job was babysitting at $2/hour for my two next door neighbors every day before school. Later, I received a huge pay raise and got my first official paycheck as a lifeguard at $10/hour.
